Kyle Rowell for Tax Collector

Dear Fellow Taylor Countians,

I want to humbly ask you to hire me in the upcoming election. I have been busy helping many of you with your federal income tax questions and filings. This is the main reason why I am running to be your next Tax Collector. I want to help you with your local tax issues, but not stop there. I will be there for you on the Federal and State levels also. This is going to be a year of challenges for all of America, but specifically Taylor County. We have 4 weeks before the election, August 26.

We have entered what some are calling the most important political year in our lifetime. With so many changes ahead, including vitally critical ballot initiatives, voter attention and action in 2008 will have implications far into our future.  We can help decide our future by making God directed decisions, especially when it comes to change. When we exercise our right to vote; I have learned that progress is not achieved by intention alone. Strategic planning is the only way wrongs can be righted and ideas can be transformed into action. All of our voices and votes are needed and are very important. In memory and tribute to those who marched, fought and sacrificed for the rights we hold dear, being a responsible citizen this is one of our highest callings.

Some of you have already seen me as I have started the campaign trail. I will continue door to door until I reach all of Taylor County. I look forward to visiting old friends, acquaintances, and meeting new faces. I have been to 3,200+ households thus far and I appreciate all the kind words of encourgement, your willingness to listen and especially those cold glasses of water. I have made new friendships that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I also appreciate your honesty when sometimes it wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear. Again, if you haven't made your mind up I want you to consider me with "your" vote and support. Learn and Teach this is what I bealive officials should be doing daily and after reaching retirement age knowing in all confidence the next generation will do a better job then the present one. I am so humbled you are taking time out of your busy schedule to read this. I will always be only a phone call or an email away to help with any tax questions or concerns you may ever have.  Knowing how you feel will better equip me in preparing to work for you, the people of Taylor County, as your new Taylor County Tax Collector. I believe public servants should easily be accessable and ready to serve you when questions arise. If you ever need me anytime feel free to contact me .
